CHATTER FROM THE MUSE

Veterans Then and now

The too frequent news of US servicemen dying in Afghanistan or Iraq has reminded me that I have not spoken enough about our brave American soldiers.

My book, Everyone's Child describes how proud we were of our World War II soldiers.  Everyone, even small children, honored them and prayed for them.  These young men today deserve no less from us.
Be sure to let any you meet know how proud you are that they are willing to give so much for your safety and freedom.

If you are fortunate enough to know a WWII Veteran be sure to thank him for securing our country for all the wonderful things that have occured since he fought.  Those veterans are leaving us by the thousands daily. Soon we will be unable to thank them personally, so do not pass up an opprotunity to speak to one you know.  He is a hero we must never forget.

All veterans are our heroes.  Thank God that every generation of Americans has brought us young men ready and willing to serve our country and preserve the America we all cherish.
