Blessings sometimes come from unexpected places.
My daughter runs a small antique and gift shop. One of her customers told her about the grief she was experiencing over the loss of her best friend to breast cancer. By the time her friend went to the doctor, she had stage four cancer. It was too late.
My daughter realized she had those same symptoms and made an appointment. Cancer was found and a lumpectomy was done immediately. A second surgery and radiation eliminated any remaining precancerous cells. She is now cancer free.
My husband was scheduled for surgery to remove his gall bladder. The surgeon required approval from his heart doctor. His heart doctor did an EKG and called in another specialist. They determined his heart was totally blocked. He could have an attack or his heart could simply stop beating at any moment. He was instantly admitted to the hospital and a pace maker was installed. He is at home now with a heart that is functioning just the way it should.
Thank God for conversations with customers and gall stones!
