Memories always are such a beautiful part of this time of year. It's not just Christmas memories though they are probably the first to come to mind. Living in Ohio, the first big snow prompts so many wonderful memories. I can still see my oldest son at age three playing in his first snow. Believe it or not, he saw his first snow in Southern Georgia. It was the first snow seen in the area in nearly 100 years. Everything closed down - schools - businesses -government offices -Nothing was open. Everyone was outside throwing snowballs and building snowmen. I had a glorious time being the expert in the group and showing them how to make snow angels.
My son was spell bound by his own tracks in the snow. He would look behind him at his footprints and laugh. Then he would run ahead to make more prints to laugh at.
He's a grown man now with grandchildren but I can still see that little boy laughing at footprints in the snow. What a joy memories can be.
