preventative tests!

1/28/2013
Not a pleasant subject but such a necessary one.  Do you have an annual physical?  Do my women visitors have pap tests and mammograms? Do the men have prostate exams?  And the most dreaded of all - do you have your colonoscopy when your gastroenterologist recommends it?  Do you even have a gastroeterologist or the other specialists who can help you live longer?  These specialists perform tests that can find life threatening problems early enough for treatment to give you a chance for a complete cure.

None of these exams are pleasant but if they find a problem, immediate aggressive treatment can lead to a longer life than you would have if the problem is not found until it is too late.  You owe it to yourself and those you love to have these tests when needed.

In my family alone, my mother, my great aunt and my daughter are all cancer survivors, thanks to early detection and prompt treatment.  I know several men who are enjoying their sunset years because of early prostate cancer detection and prompt treatment.

You only have one life - take care of it!
